Hi! My name is Leonardo Tonioni, I am an Italian clinical psychologist and systemic family psychotherapist. I met Lorraine in the first part of 2015 in a private school of English in Edinburgh (where I used to live and work) and she helped me and other students to prepare the First Certificate of English. I was successful! Since November 2015 I had private lessons in person in order to prepare the IELTS Academic and the Advanced. I succeeded in taking them in February and March 2016! Since I left Scotland in April 2016 I have always been in touch with her. In fact at the beginning of 2022 I asked her if we could have online lessons because I had to take the IELTS General Training for UKVI in order to make an application for a Skilled Worker Visa to work in the UK. We used to have an online class via Zoom every thursday afternoon and week by week we prepared the exam that I took last 11th April in Rome. I was successful! So why should I suggest choosing Lorraine as a teacher? To me there are three core reasons: first of all Lorraine is able to put yourself at ease, I mean she is nice and kind, she never judges you but she helps you step by step to strengthen your strong points and improve your weaknesses; secondly she is really competent, I mean she knows the diverse types of exams very well, so she is deeply meticulous and forward-looking in helping you to prepare them; last but not least she is a decent person, honest and generous, so you will be lucky to meet her on your life path.
I strongly recommend Simply English. I found here a second house when I moved to Edinburgh. The School is affordable and flexible so you can easily manage your classes. Lessons are enjoyable and you really learn. I've improved my English level considerably thanks to the experienced teachers who shared their love and passion for the language. They are reliable and they really care about the student. I would definitely recommend this School to anyone who wants to learn English in Edinburgh. Without a doubt, it´s the best academy!! :)

My teachers were Lorraine and Michelle, two lovely teachers who are a clearly example of joy, enthusiasm and passion for their work. The classes were dynamic and fun and the teachers follow your progress by setting guidelines so you can achieve your goals.
