Cozy hotel in a charming old building. About a 15 minute walk to the center, but located on a quiet street in an elegant part of town we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Delicious breakfast with lots of made to order choices! Our room facing the back had a great view of Dean Village.

Good hotel, it’s clear they take providing a nice service seriously. My room had a really nice view also which surprised me. No problems with noise at all. Very suitable for tourists who want a bit of a special old world feel. Thanks

This was the most expensive place for the least comfort and amenities I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was small and inadequately clean, despite requesting a room with a just a king bed they insisted we take a room with a lumpy pull out sofa as well because we had our son with us, and this increased the cost of the room. The bed was terrible, the lumpy sofa even worse, the breakfast was acceptable but nothing more. The best parts were that they let us leave the luggage in the morning when we went to walk around the city, and visiting the adjacent 5 star hotel bar on the night we arrived - which incidentally quoted us a room for the night only marginally higher than this icky B+B. This was truly disappointing.

Quirky Hotel but we were disappointed in the room. Tiny little attic type room - good view - no curtains on the window only a roller blind which let the light in around 5am. No extractor fan in the bathroom (that worked) one small hand towel for two people and the bath towels were very small. The carpet was disgusting with big stains as you walked in and outside the bathroom door too - that defiantly needs changed. Nice breakfast tho. When we handed the key back we were not asked if everything was to our satisfaction. Such as shame as it’s a lovely listed building.

No hot water!!! Spoke to members of staff who said it was to be expected with it being so cold and the building so old and to run the shower for fifteen minutes and it would get hot. We did and it didn’t. Second day ran for over half and hour still cold. Found a pair of socks covered in dust behind the chair obviously not been vacuumed for quite some time! Breakfast was brilliant and Heather was lovely. Bed very comfortable and location great just spoiled by the lack of hot water and vacuuming of room
